2023 Budget Outcome Report

The 2023 Budget Outcome is now available to the public and highlights the track record of the Papua New Guinea government in meeting its budgetary planning for the year 2023.

The Budget Outcome report highlights the continued improvement of the debt to GDP ratio, which has fallen to 52.0%, a margin that exceeds the budgetary expectation of 52.6%.

The report highlights the continued success of the 13-year Budget Repair and Reconstruction Plan, with the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister on Treasury, Hon. Ian Ling-Stuckey, CMG. MP stating, “Once again, the FBO 2023 reflects economic growth, fiscal discipline and consolidation, debt reduction, high focus on infrastructure and the almost full delivery of our budget targets of 2023.”
