While acknowledging the continuing impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the economy of Papua New Guinea, the 2022 National Budget delivered a message of resilience and a positive outlook for the future. By delivering the largest increase in health spending in Papua New Guinea’s history, raising health expenditures by K810 million, the budget places a strong emphasis on continuing improvement of services for the wellbeing on Papua New Guineans. This commitment was solidified with the allocation of another K934 million to the Public Investment Program. Please find the following resources for a detailed overview of the budget.
