The 2023 National Budget was passed unanimously by the Parliament of Papua New Guinea in December 2022. As the largest budget in the history of the Nation, with a strong focus on law-and-order spending, this budget also provisioned for a household assistance package to combat the rising cost of living, while simultaneously delivering an increased spending package on critical infrastructure projects for Papua New Guinea.
